At Northwest Kentucky, we are use to working with companies from around the globe.  International companies with a strong presence here include Alcan (Canada), Trelleborg (Sweden), Brenntag (Germany), Sunspring (Taiwan), and Hydro (Norway) to name a few.  We want to make it easier for the world learn more about Northwest Kentucky, so we have begun adding foreign language translations to the website.  The first five languages are up and we will be adding more in the near future.  No matter how you say, Northwest Kentucky means business.

Allstate Tower builds for growth

Allstate Tower in Henderson recently announced that they were moving into a new facility and would be adding 29 employees, bringing their total employment to 50.  NWKF assisted the company in applying for and receiving KIDA tax credits in the amount of $460,000.  Congratulations!

Building our own

NWKF partners with Community Ventures Corporation to provide free, full-time assistance to individuals interested in starting and/or expanding a small business, as well as access to a Microenterprise loan fund.  This partnership has resulted in new business start-ups in all four counties with micro loans being made in 3 of the 4 counties!

Fresh Meals cooks up more jobs in Union County

Fresh Meal Solutions in Union County has announced that they will create 120 additional jobs.  NWKF assisted the company in receiving approval for $1,000,000 in tax credits through the KIDA incentive program.  Well done!

Telling the world about Northwest Kentucky

As a part of our aggressive economic development marketing efforts, NWKF representatives literally travel the world to recruit new businesses.  Recent months have seen recruiting trips throughout the US and to stops in 5 countries! 

Building a stronger workforce

Through the first 6 months of the year, the Existing Business program referred 44 companies to Bluegrass State Skills for training assistance.  BSSC has awarded nearly $417,000 in grants-in-aid to local companies during this time!
