In addition:
- 80 existing businesses were visited throughout the four country region
- 9 business lunch/breakfast meetings were held with General Managers/Plant Managers and HR personnel and 1 Leaders’ Round Table was held for senior management
- 3 continuing education programs were held – “Profit 101”, “Leading Teams the Right Way” - both presented by KY Manufacturing Assistance Center; and a two-day Safety and Health session presented by KY OSH
Existing Business Appreciation / Recognition Reception

The third annual “Wine and Cheese Appreciation/Recognition Reception” for existing businesses in the four county region was held on November 17th in the Cyber Café at the Sullivan Technology Center on the Henderson Community College campus in Henderson. Nearly 60 representatives of existing business attended the wine and cheese event and took part in the networking opportunity.
This year we were honored to have Jim Navolio, Commissioner for Business Development KY Cabinet for Economic Development, join us as our special guest speaker.

2nd Annual Henderson County High School Open House
With the first Annual Henderson County High School open house being such a huge success, the second annual open house will be held on Thursday, February 18th this year.
Existing businesses in Henderson County have been invited to set up in the auxiliary gym to meet and greet students taking classes in the CTEU (Career and Technical Education Unit) and their parents. All businesses will receive a guided tour of the classrooms prior to the start of the open house and then answer questions the students or parents might have about how to obtain employment, what classes are needed in high school, etc. Keynote speakers will address the community from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
The open house – “Getting To Know You To Grow Our Partnership” - is an invitation to the entire Henderson community. In the CTEU there are 14 classes available to students: Accounting Services, Agriculture, Automotive Technology, Business Management, Carpentry, CISCO (IT), Culinary Arts, Family and Consumer Services, Finance and Banking, Graphic Arts, Health Science, Machine Tool Technology, Pre-Engineering and Welding.
