Fortis Chooses Northwest Kentucky
Fortis Plastics recently announced that they will not only retain their Henderson plant and its 130+ employees but also locate significant portions of their corporate functions in Henderson including Finance and Manufacturing Ops. Additionally, the company left the door open for significant expansion of the plant in the future. NWKF thanks the City of Henderson and the KY Cabinet for Economic Development for partnering to retain and attract these jobs.
Entrepreneurship Activity Stays Strong
NWKF’s entrepreneurship effort finished 2008 on strong note and 2009 is off to an incredible start! In 2008, the entrepreneurship program
- worked with over 100 clients
- approved 19 loans to help start-ups
- saw the creation of more than 75 jobs from start-ups who received assistance
- conducted classes throughout the region
Just through the first two months of this year, the program has seen a significant increase over last year and should well exceed 2008 numbers.
