Fortis Lands Training Grant, Retains Jobs

NWKF was pleased to help host Kentucky’s Secretary for Education and Workforce Development, Helen Mountjoy, recently to announce that Fortis Plastics was being awarded a $413,000 training grant.
This grant, a partnership that involved the Green River Workforce Investment Board, Green River ADD, local governments, NWKF, and the state, was an integral part of retaining the jobs at Fortis and setting the stage for growth once the economy recovers.
Thanks to Sec. Mountjoy for leading the charge and being willing to work with us in “thinking outside the box” to retain these jobs.
