August 24th, 2009

Brenntag

Brenntag Mid-South, a major existing employer in Northwest Kentucky, recently announced plans to expand its Henderson complex.

The company has started work on a 27,000 sq. ft. expansion that will allow the company to better handle existing activity and planned future growth.  The $1.6 million investment will also allow the company to add additional jobs to its more than 200-person workforce.

“This investment in the Henderson complex is a vote of confidence in our workforce and the community,” said Joel Hopper, President of Brenntag Mid-South.  “We are pleased we can continue to grow in this community we have called home since 1947.”

According to Henderson County Judge-Executive Sandy Lee Watkins, “Brenntag is an important part of our community and is an outstanding corporate citizen.  Their continued investment tells the world that Henderson is a great place to do business.”

Brenntag has been a part of the local community since the facility’s inception more than 60-years ago as PB&S Chemical.  Today, the complex includes not only chemical blending and distribution, but also serves as Brenntag Mid-South’s corporate headquarters.

Northwest Kentucky Forward is a public-private partnership charged with creating wealth and opportunity for Henderson, McLean, Union and Webster Counties.
